The Pennsylvania Lions Hearing
Research Foundation was created by action of the 1978-1979
State Council. It was incorporated as a non-profit
corporation on August 21, 1979. The 1979-1980 State Council
appointed the first Directors to the Board, and the first
Board meeting was held on January 20, 1980.
The Board of Directors consists of
two (2) members from each district. The Board meets three
(3) times each year, two of which are on the Saturday
morning of the State Council meetings in August and October.
The third meeting of the Board is held during the State
Convention when grants are determined for the following
year. A quorum for board meetings is determined by a
majority of districts represented. There is no Board meeting
during the February State Council meeting.
